As an individual

Do something different and have fun. Adult acting workshops held throughout the year in Cardiff. Our workshops provide practical training opportunities for anybody wishing to develop their performance ability. The programme has been developed over the past ten years and constantly evolves to make sure you have all the tools as a modern performer.

These workshops are perfect for you if you are an absolute beginner, have some experience of performing or you are returning to rehearsals.

In order to take part participants must sign up to an entire course.

If you are an absolute beginner we recommend you start with 'Discover Acting' and progress through the levels in order. However, if you have some previous experience we will consider you starting with us at a higher level.

Rehearsal Room & Spotlights

These are one-off workshops where you will explore a range of performance subjects within one-off practical workshops. Dip in and out of the workshops that interest you.

In 'The Rehearsal Room' series our in house team explore key skiils.

In the 'Spotlights' series we invite guest leaders to work with us.

Learn or brush up on new technqiues, discover new skills and meet other likeminded people. All without the pressure of a performance to the public.

Discover Acting (Beginners' Course)

Our entry level course where you will start acting, discover new techniques, take part in theatre games, work on scripts and have a lot of fun along the way. At the end of this short course you can continue onto the intermeditae and advanced stage courses.

Explore Acting (Improvers' Course)

This is the course where you will learn all about the fundamentals of performance. You will take on a role and explore your ability. You will rehearse with others and record a scene at the end ready for a YouTube performance where you can invite people along to watch.

Showcase Term (Advanced Course)

The course where you will broaden your approach to performance. In the first few sessions you will explore taster sessions in Musical Theatre, Devised Theatre, Physical Theatre and Shakespeare. In the second half you will choose the subjects you've most enjoyed and with your group create and perform a showcase to perform at the end of the course. 

Activities include:

Creating a new performance
Discovering Shakespeare
Writing new scenes
Learning songs
Performing in a showcase

This online course will develop your skills as a performer, leading to an online showcase of brand new writing.

You will receive access to weekly videos, materials and online training created by a team of professional actors and directors. And you can complete all this from the comfort of your own home!
