Actorsworkshop provides unique workshop experiences. Based at Chapter in Cardiff we design and deliver a wide-ranging programme of professionally led workshops for those wishing to develop their skills, learn about acting or simply have fun.

Since 2001 we have led acting for stage workshop in Cardiff. It’s been based at Chapter for over 5 years and now has 6 different competency levels.

From just starting out and trying acting for the first time, to developing a sophisticated range of techniques we can help you become a better and more authentic performer. Of course you might not be interested in taking acting further but rather use the workshops and the transferrable skills to develop at your place of work, gain more confidence or just have fun in a safe and creative environment.

Our acting workshops are all very practical and held in a safe place for you to explore an array of acting techniques. Along the way you’ll find yourself building skills you never knew you were capable of and meeting new friends whom you’ll find will help you on your performance journey.

We can also help if you are an aspiring actor, wishing to make the transition to formal training. It’s important to say that the acting industry is a difficult sector to navigate, so come and talk to us about your aspirations and let us help you find the best path. We will soon have a complimentary programme of workshops that focus on screen acting for those interested in performing on camera, again these will initially be based at Chapter. With the BBC moving more drama to Cardiff Bay we feel it’s important to develop a programme for those interested in acting technique specifically for TV and film. In keeping with our central philosophy this programme will be overseen by an appropriately experienced colleague from the industry and we are currently recruiting an Associate Director for this opportunity with us.

We also design bespoke training experiences for corporate partners. You might want to develop your own training programme for internal staff, support senior colleagues develop their performance and enhance their public speaking and presentation technique.

In addition to these packages we also work with professional actors to deliver a safe environment to practice your customer or staff scenarios, exploring issues important to your business.

A growing area of our business is the provision of 1-2-1 tailored training with a director, acting tutor, mentor or qualified executive coach. In these sessions we identify your exact needs & develop a programme working on agreed topics in a way that best suits you.

As a Company we also provide general and project management to third sector clients. We offer administration and management support, office and meeting space and if you are a professional coach, acting tutor or mentor we also provide hourly and long-term 1-2-1 meeting space hire at our base in Chapter.
