Workshop Guidance

At a workshop you can expect to receive professional theatre and/or performance related training provided by individuals working in the arts.

All actorsworkshop sessions are attended by at least one of the co-founding partners from the company with a qualified first aid representative on call from within the venue. Actorsworkshop is also comprehensively insured for the activities undertaken in every workshop we programme.

1. Attendance

To aid the progressive nature of the work we undertake within the workshop series, it is important that attendance is regular.

2. Punctuality

In order for you to gain the most from the work undertaken it is important that we are all present and ready to begin at 7.00pm. If you are arriving late please make sure this is done with minimal disruption. The leader of that workshop will bring you up to date on the work taking place at appropriate time.

3. Dress Code

A weekly email will outline any special requirements, including dress code. Unless stated otherwise you should come prepared for the workshop in garments that allow free movement and exercise.

4. Recess/Break

A designated break will occur in each workshop, unless stated otherwise at the beginning. Time will be given for you to bring in drinks for consumption through the session.

5. Health and Safety

If you feel that a particular exercise undertaken in a workshop is inappropriate for you and your body please step out of that exercise. You know your body best and if you feel that any exercises could damage any part of your body you should refrain from taking part in those activities. Please inform David Wilson or Jamie Lee of any issues regarding your health and welfare, all information will be treated as confidential, but may help us with programming activities.

6. Others

Please treat all other workshop members with respect and courtesy, watching out during rigorous activities operating in a safe manner.
