the place to meet professionals

The Green Room is Actorsworkshop's star led series of workshops that put acting enthusiasts in touch with those working in the industry. These workshops are held at the stunning Gate Theatre in Roath and provide a direct link to those "in the know".

David Wilson, Business Director of Actorsworkshop, leads the series discussing the industry, experience and training of stars from the stage and TV. Saturday 11th August - Lewis Vaughan Jones from ITV Wales - News Reporting and CorrespondenceMembers try out live presentation

The last workshop (on Saturday 11th August) in 2007 Summer series of the Green Room series was with Lewis Vaughan Jones from ITV Wales. He joined David Wilson for a specific workshop on the Newsroom. We discussed his experience in TV, provided helpful exercises for presenters and held a general Q&A on the bustling and manic newsroom. The workshop was completely hands on as Lewis gave all the participants 3 tasks from live presenting, interviewing on a newscene, preparing introduction and newsfeed links and live on-site presenting from a studio.

Lewis is a Broadcast Journalist at ITV Wales News and presents news bulletins throughout the day and reports for the flagship programme on ITV 1. His role ranges from presenting live breaking news to producing in-depth news features.

The Green Room Series will return when Actorsworkshop are able to invite suitable participants to share their knowledge with our members.
