Workshop Leaders

As Actorsworkshop covers the whole spectrum of the performing arts its important for us to be able to provide you with the very best tutors from a wide range of subjects. We have on-going professional relationships with Workshop Leaders, tutors, subject specialists and guests across the country.

Our Workshop Leaders and Tutors are all working professionals in the arts and entertainment industries and in addition to Jamie Lee, actorsworkshop's artistic director, we regularly welcome the following colleagues:

Cian Marc

Cian is a qualified teacher and a specialist in physical theatre and American Drama. Having graduated from the University of Wales Aberystwyth, he spent time working in professional theatre film and T.V before turning his attentions to workshop facilitation. In this role he worked mainly with homeless and self-harming young people. He has had the honour of studying Butoh dance with the master of white Butoh, Masaki Iwana, at his Normandy home and utilises some of these unique techniques to approach characterisation in both physical and text based theatre.

Geraint Pickard

Having studied drama at Aberystwyth and then acting at Oxford, Geraint has worked in theatre, film, television, radio and voice-overs and also as a presenter and producer. Geraint's main work has been in theatre, having worked extensively for a variety of companies including Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, Wales Theatre Company, Theatr Bara Caws, Theatr na n'Og, Spectacle Theatre, Gwent Theatre and Theatr Iolo. Geraint's voice is familiar to listeners of BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru, where he works as an announcer and newsreader. He also writes, produces and sings for Welsh language Electro-Pop band Clinigol.
