Actorsworkshop works with a variety of performers and industry professionals when they are able to take time out from their busy schedules to talk to our participants and we have been delighted to present workshops in conjunction with:

BEN SYDER HEADSHOTBen Syder

Ben joined Actorsworkshop in January 2004 where, after a year, he applied for drama school and attended ArtsEd in London. Here he studied an MA in Acting and enjoyed roles such as Angelo in Merchant of Venice, Gratiano in Measure for Measure, Tom in The Secret Rapture and the lead male Role in Terrorism. Since leaving ArtsEd he has had various theatrical roles such as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet at the Greenwich Playhouse and Stu in Stitching at the Battersea Arts Centre. He has also done several short films and has just spent 2008 doing Season 1 of a 6 Season online project due for release in March 2009. He also enjoys writing and has collaborated with a fellow actor on a play to be performed in February 2009.

Dan Porter

Dan PorterDan is a working actor living in wales. Since graduating from Aberystwyth university he has worked largely in theatre. Productions include The King and I, High Society, The Wizard of Oz, Treasure Island, Huckleberry Finn and Woyzeck. He has appeared in Hollyoaks, Casualty, the feature film Undertaker's Paradise and commercial campaigns for Vodafone, Sharwoods and Gamestation. He can currently be seen in the ongoing 'Belong' campaign for Carling appearing as an astronaut, arctic explorer and most recently a cowboy. He has given workshops on audition technique and wishes sometimes that he could practice what he preaches.

Ben HarlowBen Harlow

Ben trained at Middlesex University and The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, before covering and playing Sam Carmichael in the ABBA musical, Mamma Mia! (original international tour), the Butler in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (New London Theatre, London), Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast (original international tour). Other credits include: Concerts: Hair (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Carl Davis). TV/film commercials: Radox and Tic-Tacs (Banks Hoggins-O'Shea). Ben has just finished playing Dr Lynsey in Treasure Island and the Pirates of the Caribbean (Theatre Royal, Lincoln) and is playing Gaston in the revival of Disney's Beauty and The Beast at the New Theatre.
