Jamie Lee

Having trained at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he majored in directing, Jamie relocated to South Wales to co-establish actorsworkshop whilst becoming a freelance theatre tutor and director.

Jamie is interested in the positive effects theatre based experiences can have for individuals and groups alike and, since graduating, has worked constantly within a number of organisations including the Sherman Youth Theatre, the Gate Arts Centre, Bigfoot Theatre Arts, Llanover Hall, Coleg Gwent and the Wales Millennium Centre as a workshop leader, director, curriculum designer and even playwright.

Jamie's credits include Death and the Maiden, Blue Remembered Hills (UK Tour), Ghost Train, Tissue, Good Person of Szechwan, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Roberto Zucco, West Side Story, The King and I, Closer and numerous children's shows including Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood, the Pied Piper and An Act of Murder (writer/director, funded by the Arts Council of Wales).

In addition to his directing Jamie works as a personal coach and mentor, specialising in confidence building, presentation skills and audition technique. He has implemented and facilitated workshops within the education and schools sector (Inset and management training) as well as for the corporate sector with organisations such as GroundWork Wales, Williams Medical Supplies and 118118.com.
