Summer Term of Acting, Directing and Fighting!

20 Mar 2008

Actorsworkshop, the South Wales based theatre company, have announced the next series of workshops. Following on from the successful Spring series Actorsworkshop have announced a packed-programme of workshops for the Summer Term.

The brand new summer term is as exciting as ever! Actorsworkshop have programmed a series of practical workshops designed to give participants a great insight into the world of performing, and the variety of avenues that are available to arts professionals. This new series is a packed season of ten workshops that look at the building blocks of performance. The Spring term group

The Summer term runs from 24th April through to 26th June and each workshop will be in The Boardroom at Chapter. The Boardroom is a new space for the workshops and a temporary home because of the redevelopments at the popular arts centre. The weekly workshop takes place each week on Thursdays from 7.15pm to 9.15pm.

Each week members will get the chance to participate in a whole range of practical topics in the programme. The term starts with a workshop on the industry, other topics include; rehearsals, improvisation, stage combat, directing, radio voiceovers, accents and TV/Film Acting. This term focuses on a much wider variety of topics for you to get involved with, so if you’re looking to try out some new techniques, learn some exciting new skills, and have a lot of fun, then these workshops are for you! As always the workshops have been specifically designed in a way that means you can "pick and choose" the ones you take part in, although Actorsworkshop recommend you attend as many as possible, taking full advantage of the sequential order of these sessions.

To find out more download the programme from Actorsworkshop’s website, email them or call 02920 916965 to register with them for more information. All the workshops are listed on their website and full details about the whole programme are available in the brochure available on-line.
