Ben Harlow Arrives in Cardiff

Ben Harlow, the first industry expert leading the new Green Room Series of workshops for Actorsworkshop has arrived in Cardiff.

Ben, who plays Gaston in Disney's Beauty and The Beast at the New Theatre, is leading the very first GREEN ROOM workshop for Actorsworkshop at the Gate Arts Centre in Roath. Ben alongside Jamie Lee, Actorsworkshop's Artistic Director, will be taking the first in the series which boasts, Craige Els from Never Forget and Lewis Vaughan Jones from ITV Wales.

Ben said "I am delighted that Actorsworkshop provides links to the industry and I am very pleased that they have chosen me to begin the series. Its a great opportunity for me to host such a creative forum and I'm hoping for a great discussion, but its also essential for participants to get access to professionals already working in the performing arts. I know that Actorsworkshop is something I would have relished when training and out of work and it is a pleasure to be able to help other people learn more about what us actors get up to!

Ben has already started the run in Cardiff and performed on the opening night on Tuesday 3rd July. He has a hectic schedule whilst staying in Wales' Capital, which is why these workshops start quite early at 9.30 on saturday mornings. David Wilson, Business Director for Actorsworkshop commented "Its important that we tailor our services to whats happening in the work place and workshops such as The Green Room really provide this link. I know that 9.30am on Saturday mornings might be a little chaotic, but when your performing as much as 8-11 times a week (like Ben is) then we have to fit our workshops in around a performers' busy schedule. I am delighted that Ben has made it possible for us to present such an important series. I am really looking forward to this getting off the ground"
