Actorsworkshop Advanced is a series of workshops for those who have a good existing knowledge of theatre and performance and who wish to delve deeper into the process of acting. Workshops take place in blocks of six consecutive weekly sessions and entry is strictly by audition only. To ensure you receive close tuition we keep the number of participants low, so competition for places is high. Final applications now being considered for this Spring intake.
£75 (for the six-week course)
Advanced Series 5:
The six sessions will look are current acting techniques, using a mixture of examples by practitioners such as Constantin Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg, David Mamet and Sandford Meisner. Techniques will be applied to an established piece of text, and dealt with using practical activities and exercises.
The course is demanding. Due to the compact nature of the course, we ask that successful participants commit to the process wholeheartedly, this including taking on background reading and scene study beyond the weekly sessions. This ensures the creative process is fully explored by all involved.

Should you first stage be successful we will then invite you to audition in front of a panel using a monologue of your choice, that lasts between 2 and 3 minutes. The genre and period may be of your own choosing and should best demonstrate your greatest strengths.
